Abstract

April 2020: The pa­per, based on par­tic­i­pa­to­ry sur­veil­lance plat­form used dur­ing the Rio 2016 Olympic Games by the Brazil­ian Min­istry of Health, stud­ies the im­pact that dig­i­tal epi­demi­ol­o­gy with cit­i­zens’ par­tic­i­pa­tion can have on pro­mot­ing time­ly de­tec­tion of warn­ing sig­nals for dis­eases out­breaks and epi­demics.
