No­vem­ber 2019: Learn­ing In­side the Class­room: What We Know and Do Not Know About the Role of Cur­ricu­lum, Teach­ers, and Peers.

This in­ter­dis­ci­pli­nary work­shop, or­ga­nized joint­ly by the Ja­cobs Cen­ter for Pro­duc­tive Youth De­vel­op­ment and the Cen­ter for Child Well-Be­ing and De­vel­op­ment, brings to­geth­er in­ter­na­tion­al ex­perts study­ing the role of teach­ers, school cur­ricu­lum and peers. The aim of the work­shop is to ob­tain a bet­ter un­der­stand­ing of how these key as­pects of ed­u­ca­tion af­fect child and youth de­vel­op­ment. There will be pre­sen­ta­tions on adap­tive learn­ing, stu­dent-teacher in­ter­ac­tion, teacher ed­u­ca­tion and teacher in­cen­tives as well as peer ef­fects and the im­pact of peer per­son­al­i­ty on per­for­mance.
